It has been a while since our last post in Darwin, life has changed since the Incident. However we are loving life here in Darwin.
We’ve had a few challenges lately, but its now time to concentrate on the positives.
We have arrived in Darwin and now to start exploring. So far we have found there is more than meets the eye, there are a lot of gems to unearth.
There is so much to see and do here, from the history of World War 2 through to the beautiful and spectacular sunsets that happen every night.
It was Darwin or bust today! A very quick journey from Daly Waters Pub to Darwin.
An expected reward at the end of a long day traveling. The unexpected and character filled Daly Waters Pub. Camp in the campground and you can have a few refreshing ales and a really good feed, with a short stroll to your bed for the evening.
Today we head North from Alice Springs, a journey into the unknown for us. The Sturt Highway is known as Explorers Way. We felt like explorers as we traveled and we found some really interesting stops.
With only a few days to spend here, we were never going to see everything. There is just so much to see and do, that is so close. So we picked a couple of our must sees!
Who said there was nothing to see in the Outback. They must have been driving with a blindfold on. The Henbury Meteorite strike was a few thousand years ago, and was about the size of a 44 Gallon Drum when it hit the Earth, its amazing how big these holes in the ground are.
Karen relives the good ole days, while at Uluru.
