It was a leisurely start to the morning and a quick explore around Brighton at the expensive houses. Our first stop was Kingston House; it is the oldest building in the Holdfast area. It is a beautiful house that was originally built in 1840. It has a fantastic view overlooking the bay from the headland. It was built by the Kingston Family who was influential in the establishment of the South Australian Colony. Charles Kingston the son of George Kingston later became the premier of SA.

After a having a look around the area, it was on to do a couple of things that we had neglected from Melbourne. It was time to go and visit the Optometrists to find out how bad our eyes had deteriorated. Good news we still need new glasses, but it is not bad as we were expecting. Karen tool the time to have a well deserved massage while I wandered around the Marion Shopping Centre, looking utterly lost, as I hate shopping.
