After such a big day yesterday on the paddle steamer, we were in a need of a little R&R. So we had a leisurely drive around Moama, following the tourist drives and had a look at the many little tourist locations.
First up we went to the Moama Horseshoe lagoon and had a wander over the timber bridges. Continuing down the path led us to the Murray River. We jumped back in the car and drove down Chanter Street where the first punt crossing was established before the town existed.

We went for a drive along the Murray to the Five Mile Picnic ground, which use to be part of the stock route, when they took the cattle and sheep to market. The rest of the day was taken up with doing the chores, and getting organised for the next day as we continue down the Murray.
